Email & Content Marketing Manager for a Growing National Vacation Rentals Company
In my initial role as a content manager, I created graphics; designed sales pieces; wrote property descriptions and blogs; assisted in marketing department project management; and produced emails at the direction of my supervisor. As email manager, I now plan, write, design, build, proof, send and report on the guest- and owner-facing weekly sales emails for 12 brands and two departments. I also
analyze performance, manage segmentation, and set up automations for each brand. Upon being
moved from my content creator role to the email management position in May of 2022, I identified
problems with VTrips' existing email-sending account and worked closely with our development team to
fix serious issues keeping our campaigns from reaching inboxes. This resulted in higher open rates and increased revenue. I also assist the branding team with design projects as needed.

I created digital and print marketing, advertising and social collateral, assisted in planning campaigns that brought in millions of dollars in revenue each year and edited, brainstormed and helped to write copy and content for use online, in print and as both business-to-business and business-to-consumer outreach.

Production editor for the local publications of a major metro newspaper
I managed the copyediting and design team at the community news operation of a major metro newspaper, reaching from 250,000 to upwards of 400,000 people per week in more than 70 communities. I directed a staff of six designers/content editors as they read, planned and designed the seven to 11 editions produced by our section editors and reporters. Along with supervising my staff, I produced up to three sections each week, including everything from writing headlines to creating interactive online presentations. I also played a senior role in the management of the department and the creation of procedures and best practices to streamline production while elevating quality.

I have experience in planning, coding and sending marketing emails and newsletters through providers that include Constant Contact, MailChimp and iContact. I am experienced in preparing graphics for both digital and print use, as well as understanding social media marketing best practices. I am also comfortable utilizing online media content management systems such as HootSuite.
